REVERENCING ALLAH
I seek refuge in Allah, from satan the rejected.
In the name of Allah, The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful.
The word “reverence” is broad in meaning and embodies many verses. There are several verses that will explain the meaning of this important word. Similarly, the words “Allah is The Absolute” in verse 112:2 is vast in its meaning. Here are some verses that include the word “reverence” to provide you an explanation of this word.
It includes fulfilling your Covenants (2:40-42, 5:13) upholding His Absolute Authority (112:1-2)
Loving Him more than anyone or anything else (2:165)
Allying yourselves with the believers instead of the disbelievers (3:28)
Working righteousness while believing to grow your soul (3:30)
Believing in the previous and the current scripture
Not trading away Allah’s revelations for a cheap price (3:199)
Not committing the gross sins (4:30-31)
Striving in His cause and seeking the ways and means to Him (5:35)
Ruling in accordance with the laws of the scripture (5:44)
Not obeying and following human leaders and scholars (9:30-32)
Fearing only Allah and not the human beings (2:150, 3:175, 4:77, 5:3)
Following the laws of the Scripture (45:18)
Believing and following the religion of Islam (5:3, 3:20, 3:64, 3:67, 3:83, 3:85)

Believing in the entire Quran and preaching Allah’s message through the Quran, Quran revealed to remind the reverent (6:19, 6:51, 14:4, 116:2, 17:45-46, 42:15, 43:43-45, 6:51)
Not befriending the recipients of previous scriptures who mock and ridicule Allah and His Revelations (5:57, 58:14, 58:22, 60:1, 60:9, 60:13)
Eating from the lawful foods allowed by Allah and refraining from the prohibited foods (5:88)
Not corrupting the Earth after it has been set straight (7:56)
Following the guidance revealed by Allah that is the right and truthful guidance in order to submit fully to the Lord of the Universe, by observing the Salat 5 times a day at the specific times (6:71-72)
Ruling and judging amongst the people in accordance with Allah’s scripture that contains guidance and light, reverencing Allah instead of the human beings (5:44)
Preaching and proclaiming that Allah is One and Alone (16:1-2)
Everyone and everything in the Heavens and the Earth prostrate to Allah including the angels out of reverence for him (16:49, 50, 51)
The miracles and proofs sent by Allah are meant to instill reverence in the people (17:59-60)
Sending down the Quran is the fulfillment of the prophecy mentioned in the previous scriptures (17:106-109)
Reverencing the rites decreed by Allah (22:32)
Obeying Allah and His messenger in order to reverence Allah (24:52, 26:107-108, 26:131-132)
Following the religion of monotheism without committing idol worship (30:30-32)

3:199 Part 2: They reverence ALLAH, and they never trade away ALLAH’s revelations for a cheap price. These will receive their recompense from their Lord. ALLAH is most efficient in reckoning.
Revealed: The messenger’s letters are 31 and 35 in each part, revealing 31,35 = 19 x 165. The sum of 31 and 35 is Perfectly 66, revealing the Glorified Name of ALLAH.
The Proofs describe the belief of the truthful believers of the previous scriptures who believe in Allah, and in what was revealed to the messenger, and in what was revealed
to them. Such believers reverence Allah and never trade away His revelations for a cheap price. They are the ones who will receive their fair recompense from their Lord.

Revealed: The GV of Allah letters is 69 and the GV of the messenger’s letters is 234, revealing the diff. of 165.
The verse explains that Allah has always commanded the people of the previous scriptures as well as the followers of the Quran that they shall reverence Him as everything in the Heavens and the Earth belongs to Him; for those who disbelieve, they end up losing their souls.
NOTE: In verse 3:199, the messenger’s letters were 66 and in verse 4:131 they are 65, to reveal the diff. of 1, proclaiming the Glorified Names “Allah” and “Lillah” Subhan Allah.

Revealed: The GV of Allah letters is 130 and the GV of the messenger’s letters is 282, the sum is 412, revealing and confirming the “Sign” that Allah had granted to the righteous son of Adam not to kill his brother. Allah wanted the unrighteous son to bear the sin of murdering his righteous brother.
5:35 Part 1: O you who believe.
Revealed: The Allah letters are 7 and messenger’s letters are 8, revealing the diff. of 1. The believers believe with their hearts that Allah sends His messengers to whomever He wills. Through this verse it is proven that the current messenger has been appointed and authorized by the Most Gracious.

Revealed: The Allah letters are 19, explaining that the believers who seek the ways and means to Him and striving in His cause are in fact reverencing Him.

The Proof highlights that it is incumbent for the believers to seek the ways and means to Him and to strive in His cause.
5:44 We have sent down the Torah, containing guidance and light. Ruling in accordance with it were the Jewish prophets, as well as the rabbis and the priests, as dictated to them in ALLAH’s scripture, and as witnessed by them. Therefore, do not reverence human beings; you shall reverence Me instead. And do not trade away My revelations for a cheap price. Those who do not rule in accordance with ALLAH’s revelations are the disbelievers.

The revelation of the messenger’s full name authorizes him to preach and teach the religion as well as explain the meanings of the words and verses to the believers and other people.
6:50 Part: Say, “I do not say to you that I possess the treasures of ALLAH.”

6:71 Part: Say, “ALLAH’s guidance is the right guidance. We are commanded to submit to the Lord of the Universe.
Revealed: The Allah letters are 19, confirming that Allah’s guidance is the right guidance to be followed. Also, we are commanded to submit to the Lord of the Universe, by upholding His commands.
Revealed: The GV of Allah letters is 296, revealing that the right guidance is sent down through His messenger to the believers, so they can fully submit to the Lord of the Universe.
6:71 Part: Say, “ALLAH’s guidance is the right guidance.”
Revealed: The GV of the messenger’s letters is 296, revealing the word “Rasool” – “Messenger” through whom Allah sends the guidance to the believers.

This is proof that the messenger preaches truthful guidance to other human beings through the 114 chapters of the Quran.
6:72 “And to observe the Contact Prayers (Salat), and to reverence Him – He is the One before whom you will be summoned (for the reckoning).”

13:13 Part 1: The thunder praises His Glory, and so do the angels, out of reverence for Him. He sends the lightning bolts, which strike in accordance with His will.
Revealed: The Allah letters are 14, matching the proof in verse 13:12 that is also marked with 14 Allah letters.

11:82 When our judgment came, we turned it upside down, and we showered it with hard, devastating rocks.

16:1 ALLAH’s command has already been issued (and everything has already been written), so do not rush it. Be He Glorified; the Most High, far above any idols they set up.
Revealed: The messenger’s letters are 19, teaching the messenger to have patience and not to rush anything as Allah has already issued the commands for everything. This informs us that Allah has already pre-decreed everything.
16:2 He sends down the angels with the revelations, carrying His commands, to whomever He chooses from among His servants: “You shall preach that there is no other god beside Me; You shall reverence Me.”
16:3 He created the Heavens and the Earth for a specific purpose. He is much too High, far above any idols they set up.
